MINUTES OF THE WATER COMMISSIONERS
Wednesday June 12, 2019 @ 6:00 P.M.
Town Clerk’s Office
Members Present: Brooks Sturtevant, Mike Lawyer and Sara Rainville, secretary.
Guests: Jeremy Barnum, water system operator.
Meeting called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Mike Lawyer. Pledge of allegiance was recited.
Brooks/Mike made the motion to approve the May 8, 2019 minutes; vote taken, all in favor, motion passed.
Sara presented the water commissioners with a trial balance report for FY19; checking account balance $46,508.86
A warrant with supporting invoices totaling $6,647.16 was submitted for review and signatures by the members. Discussion was had.
Next water billing is July 1, 2019; Sara will include the CCR and a notice about the project with the bills.
Mike will schedule the leak detection visit for a Friday with Jeremy. Mike discussed the need for posts to be put around some of the fire hydrants to prevent issues with them being hit or buried during the winter. Hydrant flushing was discussed. Leak on Square Road was repaired, it was home owners responsibility, not water department line issue.
Tank cleaning was completed by M & K Commercial Divers on May 13, 2019. Report was good.
Water System Project Update:
Preliminary engineering report comments are expected in the upcoming days from the State. A secondary water supply for the Town system was discussed as well as the project timeline. The board discussed a possible vote in the fall for the project as well as a bid timeline.
Annual meeting set for July 10, 2019 at the Town Clerk’s Office.
Other Business & Mail:
Next month’s meeting will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and will include the Annual Meeting.
Motion made by to adjourn the meeting by Brooks/Mike, all in favor, motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
